A New Beginning: Sowing the Seeds of a Life-long Yoga Practice Join Pat and Jesse at the magical Prana del Mar Retreat Center for a retreat focusing on the creation of a deep-rooted commitment to yoga as a practice for life. This retreat will include two daily yoga practices integrating an experiential approach to alignment, anatomy, and energetics with a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. To enhance your understanding of food and nutrition in supporting your practice and your body's innate healing ability, Holistic Nutritionist Kate Leinweber will be providing private consultations. Learn how yoga and nutrition can optimize health; experience increased energy levels, a heightened ability to process stress, and a greater sense of vibrancy! Cost: $1995 which includes daily morning and afternoon yoga classes, a complimentary 30 minute private nutritional consultation, accommodations based on double occupancy, meals, ground transportation, and taxes. Prana Del Mar: Built in harmony with the raw beauty of the Pacific coast, amongst soaring mountains, healing ocean, and desert calm, this region is a natural oasis that deeply amplifies the effects of daily yoga practice. Pat Harada Linfoot sees the practice of yoga as an opportunity for physical, psychological and spiritual inquiry. In her classes, she encourages students to reach beyond perceived limits with passion and humour. Themes from eastern philosophy, psychology, and everyday experience inform her teaching. Pat is currently writing a book on themes and sequences with fellow yoga teacher, Janet Nicol. She continues to teach classes, workshops, and retreats, to mentor and train teachers and to co-direct Octopus Garden Yoga Centre. Pat is grateful to all of her teachers, past and present. Jesse Enright has been a student of hatha yoga for fifteen years and a full time yoga instructor for the past twelve. Since 1994 he has studied and practiced under senior instructors in India, Australia, Canada and the U.S. Jesse has also trained in Craniosacral therapy and is certified in the Muscle, Balance and Function system of biomechanical re-education and has a thriving, private yoga therapeutics practice working with doctors, massage therapists and chiropractors to develop personalized yoga programs for people with pain and injury. Jesse's teaching style combines deep breath work, powerful flowing movements and meticulous alignment with a fun and lighthearted approach. He emphasizes anatomical education to both empower and instill in students a love and respect for the amazing design of the human body. Kate Leinweber has a B.Sc. in Microbiology & Immunology and is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. After working as a microbiologist in the pharmaceutical industry for 6 years she grew tired of the reactionary approach of the allopathic health field. Her research of alternative health practices has focused on health promotion and disease prevention leading her to work primarily with the ancient knowledge of Eastern medicine and traditional food practices. Kate's holistic model empowers each client with knowledge of how whole foods can sustain a healthy and whole body. Her goal is to spread her expertise and love of traditional foods to help others understand the incredible ability of a nourished body to heal itself. |
